Mike Cooper, Youmna Saba
Every day at 12:30 PM, a visiting artist invites us to explore the music that has shaped their journey, through meaningful encounters and unexpected discoveries. This time, two artists from very different backgrounds come together to share the works that have marked their respective paths, merging tradition, folk, and experimentation.

Léo Collin, Manon Fantini: Play the Village!
Play the Village! is a playful, interactive, and social experience showcasing shared know-how. When a "station-instrument" is activated, a series of sounds and images appear, allowing both children and adults to explore the practices, technical knowledge, and humanity behind each one. It’s a lovely way to view the world through the prism of sharing and exchange.

Axel Kolb
Axel Kolb creates acousmatic works based on fictional scenarios of his own invention—simple situations that often teeter on the edge of catastrophe, which he enriches with narratives woven from sound collages and assemblages captured through field recordings. Driven by his passion for the sound continuum, he conceives his projects within an expanded timescale, with discreet appearances and meticulously organized swarms of sound.

Jean-Philippe Gross: Feedback: variations solo
What kind of sound could a labyrinth produce? The one created by Jean-Philippe Gross unfolds in a maze of cables, microphones, recorders, membranes, vibrators, and other resonators. Sound matter recorded in the field and live-generated sounds meander and intersect within these elements.

Mike Cooper, Youmna Saba: un solo puis un duo
Wishah (meaning "veil" in Arabic) is Youmna Saba’s farewell to home. The work explores the sonic properties of sung Arabic phonemes and their potential to shape synthesized electronic sounds. Combining her voice with the oud, Saba creates music that interrogates the memory of the past and its projection or fading into the present. The five parts of the project represent stages leading to emotional erasure, unveiling a space that exists only as a memory.
After an initial solo performance, Youmna Saba will be joined by Mike Cooper. Their improvisation unlocks the experimental qualities of their instruments, both rooted in tradition and folk music.

Beatrice Beispiel, Aya Metwalli, Emma Souharce: Emotionnal Support
This trio’s work is medicine for the ears. How? With sound – in massive doses. The artists eagerly dive into the darker underbelly, translating it into intense, exhilarating musical expression. Machines, wails of sirens, feedback, creaks, crackles, and static create raw sonorities that span the full spectrum of human hearing. Then there are the voices: sung, spoken, shouted, some lyrical, some playful, in French, Arabic, German, English. They articulate our relationship to the other, exploring the tension between strength and fragility. Emotional support and decibels guaranteed.
