Léo Collin, Manon Fantini: Play the Village!
Play the Village! is a playful, interactive, and social experience showcasing shared know-how. The transformation of linen into clothing, an object library, a reintegration initiative, and a repair service offered by seniors – all of these contribute sounds that have been recorded and turned into an interactive installation. When a "station-instrument" is activated, a series of sounds and images appear, allowing both children and adults to explore the practices, technical knowledge, and humanity behind each one. It’s a lovely way to view the world through the prism of sharing and exchange.

Concert électroacoustique #1 : Iannis Xenakis : La légende d'Eer
It has become a tradition: every year, Archipel dedicates two concerts to works that have shaped the history of recorded music, whether by key figures or lesser-known artists. The selection, made in collaboration with the Salon d’écoute team, gives us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in this unique musical genre that prioritizes the ear over the eye. The first of these two concerts features a monumental, legendary piece by Xenakis, performed by Thierry Simonot, a long-time festival collaborator and the designer of the AMEG’s acousmonium for Archipel.

Mike Cooper : The Resurrection of Strange Strings (a Requiem for Susan Alcorn)
Susan Alcorn was set to join Archipel for a performance with her pedal steel guitar, the instrument that had been her companion for half a century. Unfortunately, life had other plans. Mike Cooper – a free spirit as unbound as Susan Alcorn herself – deconstructs the blues, effortlessly bending familiar sounds to release an organic and unusual lyricism. In this tribute concert, a natural transition occurs from pedal steel to lap steel, featuring a new rendition of “And I await the resurrection of the pedal steel guitar,” a composition Alcorn had written specially for him. This is an invitation to embark on a sonic journey through the diverse styles Mike Cooper has explored over the course of a long and rich musical life, venturing into some of their most hidden corners.

Ensemble Close Up, Jacques Demierre : Désenglacé
As the ice melts, new territories emerge, giving rise to new ecosystems. How can we protect these nearly untouched spaces before they fall into the hands of powerful lobbies? In light of the threats to these post-glacial ecosystems, and the resolutely optimistic resurgence of life within them, what is our artistic position? This is the question Jacques Demierre and the musicians of the Ensemble Close-Up Contrechamps set out to answer.

Phaedrus, Mara Winter
Hyacinth (2022), Incarnadine (2022), Smaragd (2023)
Flutist and composer Mara Winter works within a dynamic of sonic immersion, with developments slowly unfolding over extended durations. Here, she uses the instrumental palette of the 16th century traverso consort to explore connections between color perception and pitch variance. This cycle of compositions is a psychoacoustic study using a watercolor-based notation system to convey glissandi, beats, tone combinations, and texture variations. It’s visually engaging approach to collectivising the sensory experience of “listening to color”.

Réka Csiszér, Radwan Ghazi Moumneh
Dialogue, fragmented memory, ethereal textures, and a delicate interplay between the visible and the invisible: this new collaboration between the two artists focuses primarily on the voice, creating connections between the familiar and the unexplored. The setup includes a selection of instruments – bouzouki, cello, and electronics – woven together into a continuous sonic tapestry. The duo’s first project took the form of a cine-concert, a musical journey inspired by Philippe Garrel’s experimental film Le Révélateur. Their performance at Archipel continues this conversation between cinema and music.
