The Bibliothèque de Carouge and Leonor Cuahonte, PhD in Art History, invite you to a series of five lectures on the History of Art.
Discover the diverse facets of modern and contemporary art in the first session, which focuses on the two movements that gave birth to modernity. Subsequent sessions will allow you to delve into the lives and works of legendary artists, and also to explore how female artists have gained popularity since Frida Kahlo's rise to superstardom!
• January 28: Art Nouveau – Art Deco
• March 25: Women – Painters, Sculptors, Architects
• May 6: Pop Art Icons – Warhol, Koons, and Hockney
• September 16: 100 Years Ago – Matisse, Mondrian, Magritte
• November 4: Frida Kahlo and the Tradition of the Day of the Dead
