Participate in creating a collective artwork using photographs by artist Zoé Aubry and images from the RTS archives.

In Geneva, Fondation La Tour en Communs is transforming La Tour into a vibrant space dedicated to promoting information integrity. It works towards a healthier information ecosystem, locally and globally, so that everyone can access information, form their own opinions and make informed decisions — essential conditions for living together and strengthening democracy.
To launch the venue’s programme, the Foundation is introducing its first participatory project for the Geneva public.
Over the course of a morning, take part in creating “information creatures” that explore how narratives are produced, shared, transformed and reinterpreted.
The project is developed with Swiss artist Zoé Aubry, whose photographic practice examines the representations conveyed by media narratives, the attention economy and forms of resistance to systems of power and oppression.
Using photographs created by Zoé and images from the RTS archives, participants will be invited to explore a question as simple as it is essential: what does “living together” mean today?
By cutting out, combining and transforming images, participants will explore how information represents the world and shapes our perception of it. Media narratives will meet lived experiences, opening up new interpretations and giving rise to a third voice.
Following the workshops, Zoé Aubry will gather the collages and bring them together in a shared composition. The responses, images and narratives created individually will become fragments of a single collective artwork.
This creation will then be printed on a large curtain and installed in one of La Tour en Communs’ atriums. It will become a lasting presence in the daily lives of those who work, live in or visit the building, while also inviting discovery by wider audiences.
