Dance performance on November 12 and 15 at the Comédie de Genève. Catol Teixeira explores the mouth, language and transformation.

BABY THEET accompany our awakening to the world. They emerge in infancy before falling out, in a mixture of pride and pain, marking both the end of childhood and the birth of language. They carry memories and stories within them; they are exchanged or preserved like relics of a passage, a transformation.
BABY TEETH is a choreographic work for ten dancers that inhabits the space of the mouth as a site of taste, biting and contagion, where pleasure intertwines with pain and where speech begins to take shape.
Bringing together artists from multiple disciplines—choreographers, visual artists, poets and lighting designers—the piece unfolds as a polyphonic experience, an emotional danced journey that, through song and the malleability of bodies and materials, seeks to slip beyond the confines of language and open up new sensory spaces.
With a multilingual and multidisciplinary team drawn from Brazil, Latin America and Europe, Catol Teixeira—a choreographer and dancer living and working between Rio and Geneva—develops a resolutely collective artistic language, grounded in the relationships, exchanges and acts of transmission that shape the creative process.
