Back-to-School Festival – August 20, 2025
Fondation Convergences is hosting a free and festive afternoon celebrating urban art! Come join us for a warm, inclusive back-to-school event open to everyone – kids, teens, and adults!

In case of rain, the party will still take place: most activities will be held inside the MEA.

WORKSHOP

🎨 TAPE ART – 2 PM – 6 PM | Ages 8+
Decorate the school fence with colorful tape alongside graffiti artist Ygrek.
💃 HOUSE DANCE & BREAKING WORKSHOPS – 2:15–3 PM, 3:45–4:30 PM
First workshop: ages 6–9 / Second workshop: ages 10+
Dance and explore movement with Malika and Bboy Zehr.
🚴 FUNKY BIKES – 1001 Wheels – 2 PM – 6 PM | Open to all who can pedal
Test out wild and wacky transformed bicycles!
🥁 RECYCLED MUSIC – PLAY TO YOUR RHYTHM – 3 PM – 5 PM | Ages 1+ (with an adult)
Explore sounds using recycled objects and make music in a new way.
🌿 COLLECTIVE VEGETAL MOSAIC – BIOSCOPE – 2 PM – 6 PM | BIOSCOPE | Ages 4+
Observe, explore, and help create a colorful plant-based art piece.

SHOW AND PROJECTIONS

🕺 STREET SHOW: BREAK N HOUSE – 2 PM, 3:30 PM, 5 PM
Live dance performances with Malika and Zehr – watch or join in!
🎬 SHORT FILMS – FILMARCITO – 2:30 PM, 3:30 PM, 4:30 PM, 5:30 PM | Ages 4+
Travel through the dreams and cultures of Latin America.
