Baignoire publique
A bathtub in the middle of the street... and a poetic, absurd reflection on our overworked world.
Baignoire publique, by Cirque du Compost, blends circus and theater in an absurd, burlesque and committed universe. Two characters arrive with their bathtub, determined to wait for... something. While they wait, they replay their daily lives in a zany choreography that reveals the contradictions of a society shaken by climate change, scarcity, sharing and inequality. It's a funny, sensitive and deeply human show, which splashes out consciousness as well as laughter.
