A sumptuous cinematic symphony, set against the backdrop of a rural mountainous region in Greece, this film is a pure sensory experience.
The relationship between Tirna, a spirited farmer, and her best friend Anneta—the village’s most popular girl—turns sour when Anneta, who is pregnant, moves in with her boyfriend, a corny police officer, and his mother. Anneta is then faced with a life-changing choice in a world that takes on mystical and feminist overtones…
Straddling modernity and tradition, this is a subtle and feverish thriller about human nature.
