BiblioWeekend 2026 : "Play"
Irreplaceable stuffed animals, objects of religious devotion, valuable items... Toys are much more than just playthings. Filled with affection and imagination, they come to life in the eyes of their owners. Loved, protected, sometimes mourned when they disappear, some are even given proper funeral ceremonies. This guided tour of the permanent exhibition invites visitors to discover the symbolic, emotional, and social role of toys throughout history and across different cultures. The tour focuses on several objects on display, revealing their uses, their meanings, and perhaps the connections they have with those who owned them.
This workshop is free and no registration is required.
