While it is anchored to eight concert events, with a host of artists from here and elsewhere, the festival is setting sail to conquer unknown piano lands. Musicians, puppeteers, circus artists, cooks, experimental filmmakers, etc., the crew competes in audacity and creativity to train the pianos, cultivate their chords and disagreements, and make them spin like a sham – or rather a merry-go-round! – and finally savor them on a bed of crunchy notes. From the Tour de Pianos to the short film Kinetic Piano and a sensory exploration by PianoFORTE, the king of instruments reinvents himself through improbable and whimsical musical universes.
