#cine Genève: CITY OF WIND by Lkhagvadulam Purev-Ochir
#cine Genève is organizing a special screening of the Mongolian film CITY OF WIND. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Maris Moutet, a therapist trained in shamanism.
For the month of September, #cine, the association that promotes cinema by and for young people, invites you to meet Zé, a young Mongolian high school student... and shaman!
What the film is about: Zé lives in Ulaanbaatar. Like most young people in the Mongolian capital, he lives in a neighborhood of yurts and charcoal-fired shacks, on the slopes surrounding the modern city center and its skyscrapers, at the foot of the mountains. At 17, he's a promising high school student. But he's also a shaman: with his two-eyed headdress masking his face, he goes into a trance. Connected to the spirit of Tengri, with a cigarette in his mouth, he lavishes his advice on those who consult him in a cavernous voice. When he meets Maralaa, a determined young woman who doubts shamanism, Zé discovers love and his powers waver. (trigon)
