CLOSING NIGHT : FLECHE LOVE + PRIYA RAGU
Closing night of the Les Créatives Festival with Flèche Love and Priya Ragu on November 25 at the Alhambra.
Listening to Flèche Love (CH/DZ) is to be pierced by a voice, a body, a statement that provokes sensations, emotions, and dazzling images. The singer traces a sensory path and when she sings, it is a bodily and spiritual experience.
Her new album Guérison (2024) is eloquent, massive, intense. In this album, Flèche Love reconnects with her roots as well as with herself. Her songs come to life in French, Spanish, or Darija.
"Thanks to this album, I hope to create a vibration with other people," she confides. That's what we feel, a journey, a story.
Priya Ragu (SK/CH), a concentrate of addictive pop energy, will come to ignite the closing night of the Festival. Her totally unique approach, which she calls Raguwavy, is vast and intrepid, incorporating bubbling and sunny R’n’B, masterful pop choruses, earthy and terribly soulful vocals and spiraling melodies of Tamil music.
The singer grew up in St. Gallen. As a child, she was immersed in Tamil culture – that of her parents – and was lulled by the songs of Kollywood – understand the Sri Lankan film industry. She then worked in an airline to reassure her parents, before launching herself professionally into music. Since then, she has been racking up hits and successes: her first album, SANTHOSAMAM (2023) propelled her into a European and American tour. Her latest single, TAKA (2024), electrifying and liberating, makes you want to dance until you lose your breath.
For one evening, she will set down her suitcases in Geneva for her first date at the Créatives. It will close the Festival in style, and we are already impatient.
The appointment is made.
