In the urgency of an asserted existence, COCON JAVEL plays with rage and intensity. Against fear, for courage. A quest for transformation - starting with ourselves. Deliciously intense and tangy, their multi-faceted music blurs the boundaries between pop, rock and electronic music. Describing their own style as “Candy Roquefort”, the band tackle pressing social issues such as the relationship with one's body, mental health and the challenges of self-improvement. With a mix of sincere self-love and critical reflection, COCON JAVEL aims to encourage listeners to reflect on these themes.

21H30 – SOFIA JERNBERG & ALEXANDER HAWKINS “MUSHO
Musho moves with ease between abstract exploration and the immediacy of song. Sofia Jernberg and Alexander Hawkins draw on their shared affinity for Ethiopian music, having both honed their vocabularies in the company of the country's musical greats: Jernberg with Hailu Mergia and Hawkins with Mulatu Astatke. Musho released their first album in April 2024 on the Swiss label Intakt, where they expanded their repertoire of traditional songs to Ethiopian, Armenian, Swedish and English.

A few years ago, the head of the music and sound department at Geneva's Musée d'ethnographie enchanted us with a selection of sumptuous, little-known recordings. Her expertise in African music and her desire to share it promise a moving and enriching experience, from the comfort of a sofa in the cellar.
