« Cruise », Alondra de la Parra & Thomas Enhco, Geneva Chamber Orchestra
An invitation to enter a world of sound where every note tells a story, every silence an emotion.
Alondra De La Parra is one of the most emblematic conductors of the moment, combining the rhythmic energy of her Mexican origins with the most demanding summits of the European repertoire.
Thomas Enhco is one of the most versatile pianists around, excelling in all forms of jazz and often crossing paths with Bach, Mozart or Ravel.
This exceptional evening brings the two of them together in a tonic, multi-coloured double portrait, from Prokofiev's piquant classical symphony to Márquez's Danzon No. 2, via a great classic for piano and orchestra accompanied, in a Swiss premiere, by Thomas Enhco's latest composition for piano and orchestra.
The Seven Visions are not just a suite of pieces for piano and orchestra: they reflect Thomas Enhco's fertile imagination, an intimate and musical exploration of soundscapes. Through this work, he invites us to a truly sensory experience, in which the orchestra and the piano, under the direction of Alondra de la Parra, respond to and nourish each other.
