Two Pianos for Three Pianists

A showdown between three classical pianists—Denis Kozhukhin and the OXY MORE duo—that evolves into a conversation as the pieces are performed one after another.

The works are staged to take the audience on a musical journey of light and shadow on stage. The three pianists “perform” their scores while remaining on stage at all times, serving as both actors and spectators. This allows the audience to immerse themselves in the program and create their own images and daydreams.

The duo OXY MORE, composed of Philippe Boaron and Dinu Mihailescu, is known for its “continuous” concerts—four-hand or two-piano performances in which they explore a varied repertoire of classical and contemporary pieces. Their self-titled debut album was praised by critic Philippe Cassard of France Musique.

Denis Kozhukhin, winner of the First Prize at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2010, has established himself as one of the leading pianists of his generation. His playing is characterized by dazzling virtuosity and remarkable power, while demonstrating great mastery of even the most demanding works.
