Composer Nicolas Bolens orchestrated the 30 movements in the piece, offering each one a bewitching palette of colours and sounds. Conducted by Thierry Fischer, the HEM Orchestra promises an enlightened interpretation. The 10 hip-hop dancers from the Compagnie Käfig, led by Mourad Merzouki, infuse this piece with remarkable energy and freshness, creating a vibrant, contemporary performance that reinvents Martin's work for today's audiences.
Twenty young people aged 13 to 18 from the Conservatoire populaire's pre-professional dance classes will be invited to take part in the show, with a dedicated choreography.
The performance will be followed by a discussion with the audience, with musicologist Guillaume Castella as presenter.
