To mark the opening of the exhibition ‘What is the future?’, a kids’ disco is being held in the museum foyer. In collaboration with the Fête de la danse.

BAL COSMIX KIDS

The rocket from the Feu de dieu collective is taking all the children on board for an interstellar journey! Our bodies will become shooting stars, cosmic matter, asteroid dust... a whole world of imagination to have fun dancing and create a joyful, collective experience. After a gentle welcome to get everyone in the mood, we’ll spend an hour of quirky choreography, finishing in style with a free-for-all dance party. A dance event for the whole family, suitable for ages 6 and up...

Create your own disco look
To help children perfect their disco look, costume designer Chloé Gindre will be on hand to give them a makeover!
Sparkling fringes, holographic details and a creative touch: everyone can add cosmic elements to their outfits and create their own disco look. When everything sparkles, it’s time to hit the dance floor!

Barbapapi
Barbapapi, a candyfloss bike created by artist Gerry Oulevay, will be on site... come and pedal to make your own candyfloss!

Artists:

  • Le collectif du Feu de dieu: A multidisciplinary company based in Geneva, Le collectif du Feu de dieu brings together artists from the worlds of dance, theatre, clowning and music. Since 2018, it has been working to create forms that challenge, move and unite people around the idea of community, joy and social transformation through art. Driven by a desire to share sensory experiences and create new imaginaries, the Feu de dieu collective hopes to offer spaces for play where the audience creates ‘art’ alongside the artists.

  • Chloé Gindre: Chloé Gindre is a costume designer for film, theatre and dance. The artistic-social blend is particularly close to her heart; it has marked her career and led her to work with diverse audiences between Brussels and Geneva for over 20 years. She is currently in charge of the CSP’s textile workshop at La Renfile in Plan-les-Ouates, which welcomes six participants aged between 18 and 25 to help them shape their own future through a creative process.

  • Gerry Oulevay : Gerry Oulevay, an artist from Chexbres, describes himself as a creator of whimsical, poetic and playful bicycles. In his studio in Vevey, he designs machines that make sorbets, candyfloss or paper, whilst fostering connections. Trained in micromechanics, he cycled for over three years, travelling as far as India. Together with teenagers, he has also designed works featured in the exhibition ‘What is the future?’, extending his creative and collaborative approach.
