Double concert evening: SIGNAL LAPIDAIRE & TIMOTHÉE QUOST "SEUL"
Season 24-25
Double concert evening...
First part: SIGNAL LAPIDAIRE
Expression, noise and distortion that transmute to leave everyone free to express their feelings and define their music. Seeking to transcend, to intrigue, to create a music free of the moment.
Paula Sanchez, cello
Rodolphe Loubatière, snare drum, objects
Second part: TIMOTHÉE QUOST "SEUL"
Timothée Quost, this tube player, focuses on the raw texture of sound as the primordial material of all musical production. From pipe feedback to amplified mouth percussion, the trumpet's vocabulary is extended to infinity, and the visceral rubs shoulders with goldsmith's technique. This incredible sound-maker plays on sloping ground, the kind of terrain you can climb down without fearing that it might lead to a steep incline or even a cliff.
Timothée Quost, trumpet, microphones, mixer
