Pianist Viva Sanchez Reinoso is set to release her first solo piano album, dedicated to the music of J.S. Bach and Keith Jarrett, in a double CD that also features her own composition, Eclipse. After two years of meticulous work with a team of outstanding professionals, she is delighted to invite the public to the launch concert, which will take place at Athénée 4 on the very piano on which she recorded her album.

*From Bach to Keith Jarrett* juxtaposes several works by J.S. Bach with excerpts from solo concerts given by Keith Jarrett throughout his career. Keith Jarrett’s musical language was strongly influenced by Bach’s polyphonic music, which he performed and recorded on the piano and harpsichord. The programme includes several of these pieces, as well as an original composition by Viva Sanchez, which builds a musical trance by repeating the same notes, working with natural harmonics and altering the instrument’s timbre through acoustic distortion.
