ETHNO FRIDAYS: MARCELO AMARO & BAND, THE ESSENCE OF SAMBA

Veteran singer, percussionist, composer and sambist Marcelo Amaro celebrates a career that began over thirty years ago! He presents samba with original works and "classics" mixed with Afro-Brazilian rhythms such as jongo, cabula, ijexá, samba-de-roda and Angola semba.
A way of going back to the origins, following the peregrinations of the African diaspora in Brazil, while inviting us to discover the ways in which music and dance have never ceased to reinvent themselves over time and places, as well as the inventiveness of artists...
