EUNICE / LISETTE LOMBÉ + CLOÉ DU TRÈFLE
Eunice is a performed reading co-created by Cloé du Trèfle and Lisette Lombé, to be discovered this November 22 at the MEG as part of the Les Créatives Festival.
Eunice is a performed reading co-created by Cloé du Trèfle (BE), multi-instrumentalist, and Lisette Lombé (BE), slam poet, performer and collagist, based on the latter's eponymous novel, published by Éditions du Seuil (2023).
Eunice, the heroine, is 19 years old and has just been left by her boyfriend when her mother dies. The young woman begins an investigation, rejecting the accident theory. In her quest for truth and her work of mourning, Eunice learns to know herself and her mother better. Her meeting with Jennah will open the way to appeasement for her.
In this hard-hitting text, written in "tu", Lisette Lombé continues her exploration of the themes already present in her collections of poetry: femininity, motherhood, sisterhood... A story of love, transmission and remission, Eunice is an awakening to tenderness and forgiveness.
The composer Cloé du Trèfle creates the sound ambiances of the texts inspired by different scenes from the novel while Lisette Lombé performs the story by embodying it.
Come and discover Eunice, the prowess of Lisette Lombé and the talent of Cloé du Trèfle on stage this November 22!
