Exhibition of drawings and porcelain: Dominique Babel & Igor Sabados
We're delighted to welcome two talented artists, Dominique Babel and Igor Sabados, who will be transporting us into their unique worlds of drawing, croquis and porcelain.
Geneva-based graphic designer and illustrator Dominique Babel invites us on an artistic adventure in which sketching becomes a delicate and poetic visual language. Wandering through forests and alleyways, he settles wherever his eye takes him, sketchbook in hand. His drawings are imbued with magic, peopled with imaginary creatures like fairies and gnomes who reveal themselves at the turn of a stump or in the moss of an old oak.
Using ink, pencil or subtle pigments, he captures moments of silent observation and transposes them onto paper, bringing fantastic worlds to life. Let yourself be carried away by the finesse of his compositions, and discover an artist who knows how to combine delicacy and imagination.
Originally from Belgrade, Serbia, Igor Sabados is a ceramist who has made porcelain his favourite material. In his creations, he rigorously explores form, design and functionality, favouring sober, subtle decorations.
Mastering a wide variety of porcelains, Igor plays with the translucence and finesse of the objects he creates. Some of his pieces are distinguished by the interplay of slip and glaze, while others highlight the purity and lightness of the material. Using a variety of precision tools and machines, he is always seeking to push back the technical limits of his art.
Throughout his career, Igor has collaborated with designers, sculptors, photographers and painters, and has taken part in numerous exhibitions, as well as serving on juries for prestigious competitions. His works, which can now be found in numerous collections, bear witness to his exceptional expertise.
This exhibition will be a great opportunity to discover the complementary work of these two artists. We look forward to welcoming many of you to share this unique moment and enter their creative worlds.
