The aim of this exhibition is to counteract over-realistic representations by giving pride of place to the imaginary. It is based on recent scientific results and projects, and introduces a touch of science fiction, fantasy and poetry. The aim is to surprise, engage and excite the viewer, while removing ambiguity about the nature of these images. Each poster is the fruit of a dialogue between astronomers from the Department of Astronomy at the University of Geneva and comic strip artists (Bajram, Schuiten, Peeters, Manchu, or students from ESBDi), who have come together to imagine what these distant worlds might look like, at the crossroads of recent scientific advances and the imaginary.
