Snakebite exhibition
To mark the World Health Assembly, Geneva is hosting 10 colorful snake statues to raise awareness of snake bites. An exhibition to be seen on quay Wilson.
From May 18 to 27, immerse yourself in a unique experience on the shores of Lake Geneva. To mark the World Health Assembly, the city is hosting a captivating exhibition to raise awareness of snakebites, a public health problem too often ignored.
Come and discover 10 colorful snake statues, created from recycled paper and materials, one of which is over 2.5 meters tall.
These striking works, by renowned artists such as Lazerian Studio and Lisa Loyd, were created with Lawless Studio in collaboration with the Wellcome Trust, a charity that supports science in the face of global health challenges. The aim: to raise awareness of snakebites, responsible for 138,000 deaths worldwide each year and lifelong disabilities.
The exhibition will take place between La Perle du Lac and Parc Mon Repos, with posters installed on Quai Wilson.
More than just an invitation to art and a means of raising awareness, this installation is also a call to action. As the World Health Assembly meets in Geneva from May 19 to 27, the exhibition draws attention to the need to increase funding, encourage medical innovation and mobilize global action against this forgotten scourge.
Come and discover these surprising sculptures and take part in this collective awareness for a more solidarity future.
