Faada Freddy, Senegal's emblematic voice, returns with Tables Will Turn, a deeply organic EP where every note is created by the voice and the body, without further artifice. Rooted in the purity of gospel, he sculpts vibrant harmonies that celebrate the human soul. “After the storm comes the light” seems to be his credo, an echo of resilience born of his early days with Daara J, the ‘school of life’ in Wolof. El Gato Negro, feline globetrotter and master of musical fusions, invites us on a sonic journey between Latin America and West Africa. Weaving stories in French, Spanish and Wolof, he blends Afro-Colombian flutes with intoxicating rhythms. In Tigre Qui Pleure, guided by GUTS, he reveals a hidden melancholy, ready to expose his flaws. Swiss-Congolese artist Luvanga transcends musical boundaries with LUV, a single born of his trip to Johannesburg. Fusing the power of dance/house with the vibrancy of Congolese Seben, he explores love and self-discovery, in a duet with South African rising star Espacio Dios. Between introspection and danceable rhythms, LUV opens up a space of deep emotion and connection, carried by a captivating chorus. With this meeting of two continents, Luvanga celebrates a vibrant, universal sound universe.
