TALK | Conference "Techno Paradiso" (EN)
Electron invites its audience to meet New York photographers Edward Hillel and Isaac Diggs, who will give a conference on the project behind their book that inspired the exhibition "Electronic Landscapes: Music, Space and Resistance in Detroit" at Galerie Polomarco.
Joined by John Collins, a legendary figure in the Detroit scene with decades of experience as a DJ, producer, radio host, organizer, curator, booker, and member of the Underground Resistance collective, they will discuss, drawing from their renowned photo book (from which the exhibition is derived), the birth of Techno in Detroit and explore how music, space, and resistance converged through Techno to create models of cultural development and preservation led by artists. This serves as a way to underscore and illustrate the importance of artists for the survival of cities.
Join us for this talk on Friday April 19th at Galerie Polomarco as of 6:30pm.
➢ Free entry
