22nd Edition of Festival Les Créatives

Festival Les Créatives is a major cultural event in Geneva. For over 20 years, it has celebrated artistic creations by women and gender minorities, as well as feminist thought. Over the years, the festival has developed a distinctive and bold identity, with a rich and diverse programme bringing together concerts, shows, performances, film screenings, exhibitions, panel discussions and cultural outreach projects.

From 17 to 29 November 2026, the 22nd edition of the Les Créatives Festival will have Geneva buzzing with original, innovative and vibrant events. The programme will revolve around several key themes. Among them is the theme of ‘desirable feminist futures’, which will serve as the central theme of the 2026 edition.

With Romancero Queer by Virginie Despentes, Christa by Perrine Le Querrec, and the inspiring presence of Myriam Bahaffou and Eileen Myles, stories, voices and perspectives capable of envisioning new horizons will be at the heart of this edition. The return of Late Night, held this year at the BFM, will bring this exploration to life through a celebration that is both festive and political.

The 2026 edition will also place particular emphasis on younger audiences and the issues affecting them, with numerous activities designed specifically for children and a special focus on the children's rights movement at the Musée d'ethnographie de Genève (MEG). This attention to childhood reflects the festival's ongoing feminist and intersectional commitment to challenging all forms of domination.

The place of women and gender minorities in jazz will also be explored through a panel discussion and a series of musical performances featuring Flore Benguigui, Lea Maria Fries and Julie Campiche. This will provide an opportunity to question the mechanisms of invisibility and power dynamics that still shape the music industry, while giving a platform to those helping to transform it today.

As every year, the festival will also showcase distinctive artistic projects and exciting discoveries. An opening night featuring the long-awaited return of Danitsa. Two dazzling concerts at the Alhambra with First Aid Kit and Camille. The sharp lyrical voices of Juste Shani, Linton and Nathalie Froehlich. A new creation by Jeanne Spaeter. The emancipatory ideas of Constant Spina, Samah Karaki, Victoire Tuaillon and Iris Brey. A wide range of workshops exploring pogo dancing, DIY, dance and textile upcycling. Original guided tours and even a game of bingo.

Over thirteen days, the festival will take over Geneva and its cultural venues, bringing together different artistic disciplines, generations and audiences. We look forward to welcoming you from 17 to 29 November 2026.
