From March 12 to April 15, previously unseen photographs by Swiss photographer Michel Roggo will be on display at Les Bains des Pâquis.

As part of Mayor Alfonso Gomez’s year in office, the City of Geneva, in partnership with the Maison de la Rivière, is highlighting Lake Geneva and its biodiversity. The exhibition invites the public to discover the journey of a drop of water, from Lake Geneva to the Geneva harbor. Discover how water shapes the land, creates remarkable aquatic landscapes, and provides an essential habitat for flora and fauna.
Accustomed to expeditions to distant waters around the globe, photographer Michel Roggo shares here his encounter with Lake Geneva. It held many surprises for him, and he invites us to take a fresh look at the world of the lake. The emotion evoked by its beauty and its ecosystem—usually hidden from view—reminds us of the importance of protecting this indispensable heritage. The waters of Lake Geneva and the living creatures that inhabit them constitute an essential yet often overlooked natural reservoir within the Geneva region. This exhibition reveals an invisible world where fundamental biological balances are at play.
