Follow Catherine Lamb’s instructions for tuning the strings! The American composer sets out a very precise musical tuning protocol, written in accordance with the principles of just intonation, a compositional practice based on the spectrum of natural harmonics.
Contrechamps has joined forces with the French ensemble Dedalus and has been working with the composer since 2025 to recreate the effect of these specific intervals in her new work.
