An internationally renowned British guitarist and member of the British Blues Hall of Fame, Matt Schofield has established himself as one of the great stylists of modern blues. Hailed by the press—ranked among the top ten British blues guitarists alongside Eric Clapton and Peter Green—he blends blues, jazz, soul, funk, and rock with rare ease.
A self-taught musician inspired by B.B. King, Albert Collins, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, he began performing on stage as a teenager. After starting out as a sideman in London, he developed his own sound: expressive, elegant, and deeply musical. With five studio albums and over a decade of international touring under his belt, Schofield is now recognized for his electrifying playing, his sense of improvisation, and his ability to connect deeply with audiences.
