Symphony No. 6 in B minor, Op. 74, “Pathétique”
With Finnish conductor Eva Ollikainen, soprano Anu Komsi and Lionel Cottet, principal cello of the OSR, this concert invites audiences to discover the soundscapes and imagination of Finland. From the contemporary poetry of Kaija Saariaho to the Nordic legends of Jean Sibelius, these works immerse us in the mystery and beauty of the vast boreal forests.
Echoing these visions from the North, Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6, “Pathétique”, reveals an emotional journey between passionate outbursts and profound fragility.
