Kristina Nikolova (Bulgaria)

Oh, the sweetness of Ivo Dimchev’s voice… His music with its powerful vibrations, his provocative and funny lyrics, his simplicity mixed with extravagance: Ivo is an intriguing and endearing figure. He pushes boundaries and defies societal norms. During the 2020 pandemic, he chose to perform in people’s homes—on their balconies, in their kitchens, living rooms, or even their bedrooms…
The film delves deep into the heart of this character. The camera follows him everywhere, from modest Bulgarian homes to California mansions, from New York patios to public parks. It reveals the intensity and the questions of this multifaceted artist—existential, mystical, and sometimes anecdotal, but always full of wit. A powerful demonstration of creativity, intelligence, originality, and freedom.
