International film festival and forum on human rights

The 23rd edition of the Geneva International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights will take place from 7th to 16th March, 2025.

The FIFDH (International Film Festival and Forum on Human Rights) has been committed to cinema and respect for human rights for 22 years, convinced that a film, a voice, a story can shake up consciences, spark new ideas and lead to social change. The 23ᵉ edition takes place from 7 to 16 March, in the heart of Geneva and in various outdoor venues.

For ten days, the FIFDH invites us to reconsider political systems and come together as a community in the face of the rise of extreme right-wing movements and the threat to fundamental rights it represents. Through 162 screenings, Forums, Spotlights and other events, the Festival will bring together more than 260 personalities, including Nobel Peace Prize winner Oleksandra Matviichuk, activist Paul Watson, writer Douglas Kennedy, journalist Salomé Saqué, surgeon Ghassan Abu Sittah and actress Angela Molina (Cosmos, by Germinal Roaux).

‘This year's guests encourage us to rethink the collective, to place care and solidarity at the heart of our relationships, and not to be dumbfounded in the face of murderous conflicts, the erosion of freedoms and the failure to respect international law’, say Laura Longobardi and Laila Alonso Huarte, co-editorial directors of the FIFDH.
