Introduction to FOLK BAL

Bal folk, did you say bal folk? In couples or in groups, in a circle, in a line or in a chain, traditional dances to learn and above all to share without counting the cost (or almost).

Circles, waltzes, chapelloises, tarantellas, bourrées, avant-deux, scottishes, mixers, mazurkas, asymmetrical waltzes: as a prelude to their stage performance, the four musicians of Le Grand Balthazar invite you to try your hand at these dances, old and new, which are quick and easy to learn. You'll then be able to take to the dancefloor in complete peace of mind and, why not, guide the men and women who will be swelling the ranks at the big folk ball that follows.
