The European Artistic Crafts Days (JEMA) is the annual gathering for artistic crafts professionals in Geneva. Ceramists, milliners, calligraphers, cabinetmakers, model makers, watchmakers, jewelers, and many others come together to showcase their unique and valuable skills to the public. The goal of JEMA is to promote artistic crafts through demonstrations, interactive activities, and exchanges. This event offers the chance to engage with Geneva’s heritage and meet passionate professionals whose expertise has been developed and passed down through generations. It’s also an opportunity to inspire young people to pursue careers that will ensure the longevity of these rare crafts.

As usual, the Pavillon Sicli will be the central point of the event with :
Interactive Stands: Around thirty artisans will host stands with live demonstrations, allowing you to ask questions about their materials and tools.
Training Schools: Six educational institutions will showcase their programs and answer questions about their curricula:

Video Screenings: A projection room will feature over 35 video capsules filmed in artisans’ workshops, revealing spaces that are often hidden from the public.
Immersive Workshops: Hands-on sessions will introduce you to various artistic crafts in an engaging and playful way.

Cultural institutions in Geneva will open their doors, offering enriching activities in behind-the-scenes areas and workshops. The program includes tours, exhibitions, demonstrations, and screenings.

Artisans will open their workshops to the public, giving you the opportunity to explore the spaces where their magic and craftsmanship come to life.
