Temporary exhibition at the MIR until 13 October 2024
This exhibition presents the playful vocation of religions through myth, dance, theatre, reading, sound, laughter and... video games. In Antiquity, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and today. In Europe and on other continents. The exhibition highlights the fundamental human need to take a step to the side in order to rub shoulders with the invisible.
This exhibition displays over 100 works, including rare books and ritual objects, that are arranged across five themes: ‘Far from the ways of the world’, ‘Dancing with the gods’, ‘Laughing with the gods’, ‘Judging the gods of others’ and ‘The store of beliefs’.
The admission ticket gives access to the permanent collection and the temporary exhibition.
