The return on the stage of one of the most beautiful comic strips - all eras considered - that still sparkles today.

It tells the story of the highly paradoxical love affairs between 3 odd animals that bear a larger-than-life resemblance to us: a cat madly in love with a mouse, a dog - secretly in love with this Krazy cat -, and the mouse - who adores no one but loves nothing more than to throw his brick at the cat's head! She takes it as a declaration of love, while the dog - a policeman by profession - throws the mouse in jail for his ‘rock'n'roll attitude’...

What could be more moving than this supremely innocent heroine who loves the one who ignores her and misunderstands the one who adores her?

Throughout his life, George Herriman drew thousands of variations on these impossible loves, with poetry, irony and unequalled genius. Until 1944, when his characters disappeared with him.

In 1984, the Théâtre du Loup produced the first stage adaptation of his comic strips, which travelled extensively to Quebec, Belgium and France. Then, in 1992, at the invitation of the Comédie de Genève, we presented on stage Le Retour de Krazy Kat, a re-creation that won the Prix Suisse romand du théâtre indépendant and led to the construction of the building housing the Théâtre du Loup.

And so it is to celebrate artistically the last theatrical season of the founders of the Compagnie du Théâtre du Loup that we offer you, in 2025, this very last version of our Krazy Kat.
