Les Athénéennes

Les Athénéennes is a music festival in Geneva from June 4 to 14, 2025, with concerts in emblematic Geneva venues, mixing classical music, jazz, electro and contemporary creations.

Les Athénéennes 2025 edition

This year's 14th edition of Les Athénéennes explores the theme of Eros and Thanatos, the life drive and the death drive, two fundamental forces that run through all artistic creation, and music in particular.

Eleven evenings of concerts will be presented, mixing all musical styles and artistic demands, from the international to the Swiss scene.
Lute player Thomas Dunford opens the evening with a daring tribute to Vivaldi and the Beatles. The Ensemble Sequenza 9.3 choir will echo the mystical interiority of Taverner and Pärt, while pianist Jean-Marc Luisada revisits Liszt, Haydn and Chopin.
Late evenings will vibrate to the rhythms of jazz and contemporary music, with major figures on the Swiss scene.
Concerts take place mainly at the Alhambra, with a few exceptions at the Temple de la Madeleine. And as always, the nights will continue at Chez Jean-Luc, to celebrate music in all its power.
