LES CRÉATIVES X UPA

Les Créatives associates with the UPA to offer an evening focused on the theme of migration, explored through a play, a round table and a concert.

The Festival Les Créatives is teaming up with the UPA, the University of Cultures of Geneva, to offer an evening focused on the theme of migration, explored through a play, a round table and a concert. We can't wait to be there!

La part de feu / Compagnie Désenchanté·e·s LIVING ARTS 7pm-8pm

What does it mean to have two cultures? Being a foreigner in Switzerland, being Swiss in the bled? And what does it really mean to be Swiss?

In its show La part de Feu, the Compagnie Désenchanté·e·s explores these questions related to identity. Its main material? The lives of children of immigrants from the Albanian community. But not only that: the four actresses also draw on the experience of those who have lost touch with their cultures of origin over the generations and ethnic cleansing, and of those whose ancestors have always lived in Switzerland. Because in the end, they are indeed universal stories that they tell us, whether we are from here or there. As the four artists proclaim: It is time to celebrate this part of fire in us.

A show co-written by Marion Agoston, Félicia Baillifard, Fjolla Elezi and Era Malaj, performed by Marion Agoston, Fjolla Elezi, Era Malaj and Gaëlle Imboden (who takes on the role of Félicia Baillifard), in collaboration with the Université des Cultures de Genève.

Culture in the intersections of society FORUM 8:15 p.m.-9:15 p.m.

Elina Duni MUSIC 9:30 p.m.-10:45 p.m.

A renowned Swiss-Albanian singer, Elina Duni (CH/AL) has been revisiting traditional Albanian music in a jazz version for several years.

Her latest project, A time to remember (2023), mixes her vaporous voice with the intimate chords of musician Rob Luft. West African riffs, Celtic folk and minimalist textures come together to offer our ears a precious moment in which these immemorial songs sound terribly current. A concert between dream and reality.

In collaboration with the University of Cultures of Geneva (UPA).
