Discover Les Grottes on a guided visit through working-class history, urban resistance and alternative culture, followed by a convivial aperitif.

On Tuesday, 9 June 2026, TCS Geneva invites you to join a guided visit of the Grottes district, a unique part of Geneva shaped by working-class history, urban resistance and an alternative spirit.
A former popular district on the right bank, Les Grottes once came close to disappearing under major urban redevelopment plans. The neighbourhood survived thanks to the mobilisation of residents and squatters who fought to preserve its identity. This walk invites you to rediscover this side of Geneva through its historical landmarks, bold architecture and singular atmosphere.
Over the course of an easy 1 km walk, you will revisit the story of an urban struggle that became emblematic. The visit will end with an aperitif in the district, offering a convivial close to the outing.
