This evening is the result of a collaboration between the Geneva-based organizations ENCONTRO and KINCH, united by a shared goal: to celebrate the richness and evolution of jazz and Brazilian music acrossdifferent generations of artists.
Opening the show is Frederico Heliodoro, one of the most captivating voices in contemporary Brazilian jazz. Between Rio, New York, and major international stages, he embodies a new generation of Brazilian musicians alongside artists such as Kurt Rosenwinkel, Louis Cole, and Pedro Martins.
In the second half, the prodigious Louis Matute presents Dolce Vita in Large Ensemble with Brazilian icon Joyce Moreno—a living legend of bossa nova who has collaborated with the biggest names in Brazilian music, from Tom Jobim to Milton Nascimento.
Blending heritage, modernity, and reinvention, this evening offers a journey through the many facets of Brazilian music, from its historical figures to its contemporary expressions.
