Since Amadou’s passing in April 2025, Mariam’s voice has taken on a new depth. Having formed a legendary duo with him, Mariam continues the journey today, remaining faithful to the spirit that always guided them: using music to bring people together.
Born in Bamako, Mariam has been singing since childhood and met Amadou at the Institute for Young Blind People in 1973. From that encounter grew forty-five years of artistic partnership, shared success, and songs that became part of the collective memory, from Je pense à toi to Beaux Dimanches.
On stage, surrounded by musicians, Mariam continues to celebrate their legacy while presenting songs from a new album released in autumn 2025: L’Amour à la folie. A concert that is both luminous and heartfelt, a true celebration of music and life.
