The title evokes childhood in Guadeloupe and an old dream of living among pelicans.
In a language that blends storytelling, breath, cries, and song, the performer embodies a bird—an emotional, hybrid figure, his double. Dressed entirely in feathers, he speaks of violence, sex, memory, wounds, and survival, walking a tightrope between rage and tenderness, scream and silence.
He speaks of the self and the collective, of questions of gender and race, “with as much authenticity as possible,” he says. And he adds: “Without trying to disturb, I use art as a space of doubt and reconciliation—to express what can’t be said elsewhere.”
