MUSÉE D'ART ET D'HISTOIRE X MAPPING FESTIVAL
STRUCTURALS (CH) : MIRAGES - Immersive Audiovisual Art
For the 2025 edition of the Mapping Festival, the Geneva-based studio Structurals – Théo Phildius and Pablo Felley – known for their immersive and interactive experiences, transforms the courtyard of the Museum of Art and History with Mirages, a suspended audiovisual piece that blurs the line between materiality and illusion.
From the elevated walkway by Vincent Lamouroux, more than 8 meters high, a massive cascade of water and light becomes the stage for ephemeral holographic projections. Fragments of objects and sculptures from Carol Bove’s exhibition emerge and vanish, reinterpreted as spectral forms in constant flux.
At the intersection of art and technology, Mirages challenges perception and offers a sensory experience where history and future, reality and virtuality meet in a fascinating dialogue. The installation’s sound composition, crafted by Owelle (CH), adds another immersive layer to this hypnotic work.
