Virginia Woolf's famous novel is adapted here into a monologue, combining narrative, music, and audience addresses. Léa Pohlhammer plays Orlando, a character spanning centuries and genres, in a minimalist setting with lighting inspired by the painter William Turner.
The show explores freedom of interpretation, identity, and femininity, weaving together quotes from the novel, music, humor, embodied acting, and digressions fueled by anecdotes, to question social norms and our relationship to gender.
