From Australia to Geneva, Contrechamps brings together two voices in search of roots: Nardi Simpson, an Aboriginal artist, and Jessie Cox present two works where tradition and exploration converge.

Having returned from a magnificent tour of Australia, the Ensemble is presenting in Geneva the work of composer and writer Nardi Simpson, an Aboriginal artist whose meeting in Canberra proved to be a defining moment. Contrechamps has therefore commissioned her to create a new work blending tradition and exploration. Meanwhile, Jessie Cox, for whom the question of origins remains central – and who was also part of the tour – has entrusted his latest creation to Contrechamps.
