Photobooks Switzerland

The festival is open to all and celebrates the photographic book in all its forms!
The photobook fair brings together nearly 40 independent photographers and publishers from Geneva, Switzerland and around the world to present their original, high-quality creations, produced in small quantities and often difficult to find in generalist bookshops.
Two exhibitions offer a chance to discover the work of Swiss-Argentinian artist Emilio Nasser for the first time in Geneva, as well as 30 books and fanzines freshly arrived from Hong Kong.
On Friday afternoon, artist Pablo Lerma will lead a workshop for adults on the theme of family albums, and on Saturday afternoon, an introduction to bookbinding will be offered for children aged 10 and up and adults.
A talk with artist Emilio Nasser and a round table discussion on book collections complete this rich programme.

Programme overview

Friday 13 June from 13:30 to 17:00: workshop (in English) led by artist Pablo Lerma on the theme of family albums (for adults, registration mandatory)
Friday 13 June from 18:00 to 20:00: opening of the exhibitions in the presence of the artists (drinks, free entry, no registration)
Saturday 14 June and Sunday 15 June from 11:00 to 18:00: photobook fair with independent photographers and publishers (free admission)
Saturday 14 June at 10:00: artist talk with Emilio Nasser (in English) and the exhibition organisers (coffee & croissants, free admission, no registration)
Saturday 14 June from 14:00 to 16:30: introductory workshop on bookbinding for children aged 10 and up, teenagers and adults (in French, free for under-18s, CHF 15 for adults, registration required)
Sunday 15 June at 10:00: round table discussion on the theme of photobook collections (coffee & croissant, free admission, no registration)
