Pregny-Chambésy (GE)

A day at the heart of Swiss cultureThe Pregny Alp Festival is a festival of traditional Swiss music (Swiss folklore). The only one of its kind in French-speaking Switzerland, the festival has been beaming down from the heights of Pregny-Chambésy since 2007. The festival attracts a varied and multi-generational audience, whether they're passionate about traditional music or just curious. The festive atmosphere is enhanced by the usually radiant sunshine, plenty of shady covered areas and a lush, green countryside setting.
17th edition, you can discover nine groups performing on two stages, headlined by the famous Oesch's die Dritten.
Alpenhorn, schwyzerörgeli (Schwyz accordion), yodelling and hackbrett (a type of Alpine table zither) are just some of the instruments on the programme for the 2024 event.
Pregny Alp is not just a music festival, it also offers food and drink from the region. Enjoy hot dishes prepared on site by a cheerful team of volunteers, including fondue, röstis and longeole (a typical Geneva sausage).
The Pregny Alp Festival is a not-for-profit association and a member of the Fédération des Festivals Genevois (FFGe). Every year, a team of volunteers puts together a free festival and works hard to provide everyone with festive, colourful and unforgettable memories.
