The Ballet du Grand Théâtre de Genève opens to the public one of the last rehearsals of Ihsane and allows the public to discover the work of the dancers on some excerpts of this new choreographic creation by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.

Ihsane is a rite-of-passage journey over which Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui dances the questions that obsess him within an intimate, universal Orient, embodied by music through to décor. Simultaneously an ideal of goodness in Arabic, communion with the universe for Islam, and an evocation of a racist and homophobic crime, Ihsane’s polymorphism allows the choreographer to revisit his family history in all its complexity.
