Performance from November 24 to 26 at the Comédie de Genève. Radio Live – La Relève brings the voices of young people from around the world and their stories of identity and memory to the stage.

It began as a radio series about youth created by Aurélie Charon for Radio France together with Caroline Gillet. For the past decade, Radio Live has evolved into a stage project bringing young people from different parts of the world into dialogue, all grappling with questions of identity and commitment, in a performance enriched by Amélie Bonnin’s live sounds and images.
At the crossroads of multiple artistic disciplines, Radio Live – La Relève portrays a politically and socially engaged younger generation across the globe. Within a set design oscillating between radio studio and documentary space, this hybrid performance becomes a compelling investigation into memory and identity.
Moving fluidly between past and present, these intertwined stories immerse us in the everyday lives and inner worlds of young people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Syria, Ukraine, Rwanda, India and France. A generation speaking with striking immediacy, refusing to accept the world as it is. Heirs to histories of violence and forced migration that have shaped complex, multiple identities, these young voices reflect, through an ongoing dialogue between stage and screen, on their relationship to both past and present. A deeply moving ode to resilience.
